What’s the Benefit of a Doula?
“The emotional support provided by doulas was seen to reduce anxiety and stress during the labor period and reduce the length of labor. Women with a doula during childbirth helped raise their confidence and autonomy throughout labor.”

What to Expect
-
I offer a growing relationship prenatally. I am in contact with you throughout the pregnancy and we have a full prenatal meeting between 32-37 weeks. During this time we will cover any questions you have, review stages of labor and other important details. I will also provide other resources to help you prepare for the birth.
-
I provide early labor support via phone or text. When active labor begins we find the right time for me to come. Once I arrive, I offer comforting techniques and utilize Spinning Babies positions throughout labor. I will take photos and notes on your labor if requested. I will be a continual support until after baby is born to help with baby’s first feeding.
-
During this meeting we will unpack and reflect on your birth together. The transition to motherhood can be rocky. I have a list of resources I can provide that includes contacts for anything from breastfeeding specialists to those who do placenta encapsulation. My goal is to help equip you with tools to utilize as you need after baby arrives.
